KinKi Kids’ 31st single “Time” will be the theme song to one of their favourite video games series, Dynasty Warriors, it was announced today by game company Koei.
The duo will sing the song for PS3′s 真・三國無双6 (Shin Sangokumusou 6), known internationally as Dynasty Warriors. It will be the first time the two singers have worked on a video game.
KinKi Kids had often commented in front of the press over the years they were fans of the game series. It has been reported that because of this, the game’s producer had personally pushed for the two to be involved with Shin Sangokumusou’s 10th anniversary version.
It has been reported the single “Time” is a fusion of edgy digital music and string instruments. Not only is it a love song, but the lyrics have an almost cinematic quality, describing family love, human love, stepping into a new world, its challenges and rewards.
Shin Sangokumusou 6 will be released in Japan on March 10.
